Quit Smoking Advice
Are you struggling with cravings? Does it seem that no matter how hard you try not to smoke, you just have to have another cigarette? There is an alternative...healthy and safe way to control your cravings! Click here for info.
These clips are from the BBC: Horizon documentary series entitled “We Love Cigarettes”. The advice Allen Carr gives is pretty damn good, it convinced me (a 5 year smoker) to quit cold turkey. It has been a couple months now and I’m still going strong.
Update:
It has been over one year since my last cigarette and I have never been tempted to look back. I really hope this simple advice has helped someone else.

I started years ago for stupid reasons, left it started again many times. Recently I left it for some years but just fell again some days ago. I know this fall will last just some days, then I leave it for years again. Buprion also helps me alot.

Whether or not it is a money making scheme isn’t the point. The point is this man in the video is right!! You know I started smoking a year ago 3 weeks from this post. I loved it, and I loved the nicotine and everything about it. I could be social with smoking, do it whenever and feel that great nicotine hit me and everything else great about smoking…but I realized there was one thing I didn’t like about smoking….it was killing me slowly! Remember, even if you don’t get cancer….continued

The only thing I disagree with is his tarnishing of nicotine substitutes. Nicotine gum, for instance, is healthier, and is helping me ween myself off of nicotine completely. First you must learn to fight the physiological addiction, and that is what these substitutes help with.

Luckily for all of us smokers, this guy got a good message out to people before he died from his past of smoking cigarettes. Great man. RIP

Yeah, but then you’re addicting yourself to the gum. Granted the gum is better for you than smoking, but the problem of your nicotine addiction isn’t fixed.

It is a step down system. So you can step off. Nicotine is not what’s harmful about smoking. It all the other stuff you get while your getting nicotine. But there is more then one way to quit smoking. The right one is the one that works for you.

i had nothing to do with it… one night at around 2 in the morning i thought there were bugs in my bed and they wouldnt stop biting me. i could see them flying in the corner of my eyes.. i was broken and empty and cried out to God and he answered me. Ive been drug free and at peace with life ever since.
I havent smoked a cigarette in a week… and man am i glad, now i see how pathetic they are. I have God to thank.
Thanks for the reply. =)
